Overview: The Fast Change Project

​

We often envision a better version of ourselves, but the skills and discipline necessary for sustainable self-development are elusive. That is, making changes can be relatively easy in the short term, but maintaining these changes is far more difficult. Learning essential tools and techniques that drive long-term personal development is the central theme of The Fast Change Project. You might think you have to change yourself to change your behavior…but it turns out the opposite is true.

 

But, doesn’t sustainable personal growth take time? Yes, but success can be accelerated with effective skills and support. Each component of this course is rooted in the best of psychological theory, behavioral research, and practical wisdom. Key scientific approaches include Intentional Self-development, Growth Mindset, Self-determination Theory, Cognitive Dissonance, and Immersion (more on these theories here). In short, while most books and programs tell you what to do to change and leave you to your own devices, we use science to teach you how to do it and how to maintain it.

 

The Fast Change Project is the product of a more than a decade of our own research and teaching experience, two National Science Foundation Grants (more here), and best practices established by other psychological and behavioral scientists.

 

You'll spend four weeks working on yourself. You'll conduct strategic self-analysis via proprietary learning technologies like Personality Pad (more here), a personal research and development platform Jesse developed during his doctoral work that's used by people around the world. You will also learn a set of twelve essential self-development tools we call The Worthy Dozen (more on those here). Parts of the course are immersive, so it will take some time and effort, especially the last two weeks when you are practicing living your values – being your ideal self in your daily life. 

 

Here are some features of our approach to accelerated self-development:

 

  • You can tailor the methods to your own personality and preferences…apply them in ways that make sense to you. You'll learn essential tools that are adaptable to how you live and work.

 

  • We are not telling you what to change…we’re teaching you how to change quickly by drawing on a well of vetted techniques that have been shown to facilitate intentional self-development.

 

  • These are fundamental skills – strategic processes you can continue use for a lifetime.   

 

  • Fast Change is about changing your behavior rather than changing who you are as a person, although fundamental identity and personality development may follow behavioral change.

 

We'll support you along the way, as will our assistant coaches who are experienced in teaching and practicing Fast Change methodologies. You’ll be expected to take some chances in how you think and behave. It may not be easy – change rarely is –but for most, the process is challenging and rewarding. Cost:  $375, but all participants in this first virtual class are on

full scholarship (with approved registration)
